Prayer
One day Jesus was praying in a certain place. When he finished, one of his disciples said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples.” - Luke 11:1
Our Vision for Prayer
At 938 Church, we believe prayer is the lifeline of our relationship with God and one another. It is how we connect our needs, hopes, and gratitude with heaven. Through prayer, we grow in faith, lean on God’s presence, and step into His work in our community. It’s our desire that prayer is not just something we do in church—but something we live out together.

We train and support you in approaching prayer thoughtfully and reverently.

Pray Together on Sunday Mornings
Before our Sunday service begins, we gather to pray—together. Join us Sundays from 9:45–10:00 AM in the lounge upstairs at Uptown by the preschool room. Whether it’s for the service, our community, or your personal needs, this is a time to connect with God and others in spiritual support.
Pray with us this Month:
We pray for regular themes each month – join us as we pray for unity in October.
Theme for October: Unity
“Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.” - Eph. 4:3
P - Pause: Still my heart before you, Lord.
R - Rejoice: Thank you for the gift of the church.
A - Ask: Heal divisions, help us to love each other.
Y - Yield: I choose humility and forgiveness.
Why Join in Prayer?
It strengthens our church — when we pray, we invite God’s will and power into our gatherings and ministries.
It models dependence on God to those around us.
It connects us — as we carry each other’s burdens, we become more deeply rooted in unity and love.
It invites God’s presence — no situation is too small or too large for Him to take hold of.
